How much hair do I need?
Well as a rule of thumb for most braided hair bracelets we suggest you send us the longest section of hair from the tail. About a fingers width is more than enough for most items.
For rings and charms we can work with short lengths but always the longer the hair the easier it is to get a good braid.
Ideally more than 20cms for all items. If you are in any doubt then please email an image of your hair with something to reference the size to vicky@divatailsjewellery.co.uk
Will you wash the hair?
Yes we wash all hair when it arrives with us. Please do not send wet or damp hair. It will start to rot in the post.
Do you return unused hair?
Yes! Any unused hair will be returned with your finished items.
How long does it take?
Most items we will say 4 to 5 weeks turn around. We can work on a shorter time frame to meet a deadline like a birthday please contact us first to make sure we can meet these deadlines. Remember we make everything by hand so this takes time.

How to send the hair?
Please send all hair by a tracked service like Royal Mail 1st Class Recorded or Special Delivery. This means we can track the hair at all times. We haven't yet had any hair lost in the post and we would like to keep that track record up
Measurements
If you are purchasing a ring or bangle we need to know your exact size to ensure it fits correctly. We will send a ring or bangle measuring gauge to you after you purchase. This gives us a measurement to work with. For braided bracelets or the inlay bracelet you can measure your wrist with a cloth tape measure and match it to our sizes.
How do you send my jewellery to me?
We send everything via Royal Mail Special Delivery. A fully insured and tracked service.
Do you repair?
Yes, if ever you have an issue, a clasp breaks, lost a stone or something unfortunate has happened with your jewellery. Drop us a line, we want you to keep your horses hair jewellery at its best for a long time so always happy to repair and clean items.
What are your green credentials?
We use 100% recycled sterling silver and gold. All of our gemstones are ethically sourced and are traceable. We work hard to try and source recycled materials and packaging where we can too.
